It is very important that the school maintains a great relationship with the families at Gulfside Elementary, A Community Partnership School. We offer multiple family engagement activities throughout the school year and the summer. Some examples of these activities are:

School’s vision for engaging families:
We are committed to providing a safe, caring, learning focused environment where all learners are empowered to become leaders, innovated thinkers, and contributors to our community.
Parents/Guardians:
Gulfside Elementary, A Community Partnership School involves parents in the development of the Title I plan and the process of school review and improvement.
We will seek to:
- Hold an annual meeting for families to explain the Title I program and the rights of parents to be involved.
- Use a portion of Title I funds to support parent and family engagement and involve parents in deciding how these funds are to be used.
- Involve parents in the planning, review, and improvement of the Title I program.
- Develop a school-parent compact that outlines how parents, students, and school staff will share the responsibility for improving student achievement and describes how parents and teachers will communicate.
- Aid parents in understanding the education system and the state standards, and how to support their children’s achievement.
- Provide materials and training to help parents support their child’s learning at home.
Communications:
Parents/guardians will be informed of school activities through various types of communication throughout the school year. A copy of all home/school communication is available in the front office.

Community Partnership School at Gulfside “The Hub”:
The Hub at Gulfside Elementary School serves as a central community area offering enrichments for students and parents. It includes a Social Services Area and Parent Resource Center to help build a stronger community. The Community Partnership School model integrates school, families, and communities to support children’s development with academic programs, services, and opportunities focusing on various aspects like school readiness, academic success, health, and community engagement.
